- Chicken 750 gm (cut in to pieces)
- Rice 1/2 kg
- Salt to taste
- Golden brown Fried onion 1 cup + 1/2 cup

- Ginger - Garlic paste 3tsp
- Yogurt 1 cup
- All spice powder 1 tsp
- Chili powder 2 tsp
- White cumin powder 2 tsp

Chicken Biryani is that recipe of delight which when cooked perfectly can turn into a dish par excellence. Loved by all food lovers across the world, it is one of the representative dishes of India that reminds of the culinary heritage of the regal era. Try this delicious biryani recipe.
Marinate the chicken pieces in yogurt, ginger garlic paste, green chilies, salt, chili powder, cumin powder, all spice powder for 1 hour.
Boil rice with 1 tbsp salt and whole spice till half done.
Peel and cut potatoes in halves.
Fry the potatoes.
Soak in a pinch of yellow food color in two tbsp of water.
Heat oil in pan, add marinated chicken with 1 cup fried onion and cook till tender.
In a pan layer half of the rice, cover with chicken mixture, then potatoes, 1/2 cup fried onion, chopped coriander and green chilies.
Now layer the remaining rice on top.
Then add yellow color mixture, cover tightly and steam on very low heat for 15 minutes.
Delicious chicken biryani is ready.
