- 2 cup wheat flour(Atta)
- 1 cup sugar powder
- 1/3 cup Curd(Dahi)
- 1/4 cup coco powder
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 pinch cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup oil
- chopped dry fruits(almond,cashew nuts,walnuts)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup milk
Whole wheat chocolate cake – A healthier version of the most loved cake all around the world
Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Grease a pan with oil and dust with flour. Set aside.
Sieve the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon powder in a mixing bowl, mix well and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, take curd and sugar, whisk nicely and mix well till the sugar is melted. Add vanilla essence, milk, oil and stir well.
Add in the flour mix and fold gently and make a smooth batter without lumps. Add the chopped dry fruits and stir gently.
Pour the cake batter into the greased pan and some sprinkle dry fruits. Tap the tin on the kitchen counter gently, to remove any trapped air bubbles.
Bake in the pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until the edges start to leave the tin and a skewer inserted comes out clean.
Oven temperature and time may vary. Check on your bake after about 25 minutes.
