- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 3 tsp custard powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2tbsp sugar for caramalising
- Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
- 2 tbsp cornflour
One of my favorite dessert caramel custard/pudding is soft melt in mouth dessert made with milk and sugar. This dessert is loved equally by kids and adults. It is light and tasty pudding .
Take sugar and water in a sauce pan for caramel. And heat it, swirl the pan so the sugar melts. Now heat it on high and cook till the sugar darkens and turn into a caramel. Dont stir the pan, swirl the pan.
Now pour this into the waiting moulds and set aside. the caramel will harden.
Mix custard powder with 20ml cold milk (little) and keep it aside.
Boil milk and add sugar. Reduce the flame.
Now add the custard milk mixture , vanilla essence to the boiling milk. Cook for 2- 3 minutes then add cornflour mixture and again cook on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes till it thickens. while stirring continuously.
Then switch off the flame and Pour the mixture into the caramelized moulds and keep it Refrigerate for 2 hours.
