- 2 cups or ½ liter full cream milk
- 2 tbsp custard powder, strawberry flavor ( can take any flavor u like)
- Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
- 3 tbsp cold milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 small sized or ¼ cup banana chopped
- ½ medium sized or ¼ cup apple chopped
- 1/2 Cup Pomegranate Kernels
- 1/2 cup Chikoo
- 1 peeled orange
Fruit custard is a simple, tasty, and relatively healthy dessert that is loved by all and more so by the kids. It requires very less preparation & cooking time and can be made from simple ingredients.Fruit custard is also called Fruit salad with Custard and is a sweet dish loaded with goodness & flavor of different fruits. how to prepare custard milk:
Firstly, in a thick bottomed pan add milk.
Heat the milk in a sauce pan. When it begins to boil, add sugar and stir well and let it cook over medium flame.
Meanwhile, in a bowl take 2 tbsp of custard powder. i have used strawberry flavor custard powder and add 3-4 tbsp of milk and mix well.
Add this paste to the boiling milk and stir well to mix. Keep cooking over flame as the custard thickens.
Take care not to let the bottom burn and keep stirring continuously for 3-4 mins.
Remove from stove and let the custard become warm.
Transfer to a small bowl and cool completely.
how to prepare fruit custard:
once the prepared custard milk has cooled completely. Chop all fruits into bite sized pieces. You can add bananas, apples, pear, pomegranate, orange or any other seasonal fruit of your choice.
Arrange a layer of fruits in a serving bowl.Pour a spoonful of custard sauce on the fruits. Keep layering this way alternately with fruits and custard sauce to complete the dish.
