Rava Uthapam is a delectable South Indian recipe that can be eaten anytime, and is absolutely mouth-watering. Here, we have made this uthapam recipe by using semolina instead of rice and urad dal. Semolina Uttapa is one of the quickest options for breakfast , because it does not require a ground and fermented batter.  Ghee is one of the purest age old remedies for digestion and maintaining a healthy gut.  A perfect meal for kids and weight watchers.To make this healthy breakfast recipe. Ghee is a good source of fats and fatty acids like conjugated linoleic  and butyric acid. it also contains significant amount of Vitamin A, E and  D.

Rava is a good source of carbohydrate, protein and fibre. It is also a good source of vitamin B complex, Vitamin E and minerals such as sodium and iron. It also contains a powerful antioxidant, selenium.

Oats are a good source of protein compared to other cereals, also a good source of carbohydrates, dietary fiber and essential fats. Oats contain high amounts  of many vitamins and minerals, such as manganese, phosphorus, copper, B- vitamins, iron, magnesium and zinc.

Combine the semolina, dry oats powder, curds, baking powder and 2 cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well. Cover with a lid and keep it aside for half an hour.

After 30 minutes add chopped carrot, chopped tomato, chopped onion, 1 green red chili, 1 tbsp coriander leaves, salt and 1/2 cup of water and mix very well. (f you wish you can add the veggies on the top of Rava Uttapam while making it. This is the original way but I find it easy to mix all the things first and them make it.)

Heat a non-stick griddle and spread some ghee on it using a brush. You can use cut potato or onion to do that but I think brush does a good a job.

Once the griddle is heated, Take a spoonful of batter and pour it on the griddle. Spread it in circular motion using the back of the spoon. cook for 3-4 minutes each side or until golden brown and then transfer it to the plate.. Repeat for the same for the rest of the batter.

Serve it warm with your favorite chutney.
