Green Matar Pakode are the delicious crisp fritters of fresh green peas and onions seasoned with spices. Pakodas are something which almost everyone of us enjoy and these Green Matar Pakode are the ultimate makeover to the regular pakodas and can be served with any chutney or ketchup of your choice.
The most amazing part is, you can make the pakoda mixture in the morning and refrigerate it, fry it at the time of serving in the evening or on the arrival of guests. Most favourite during Winter Season, as taking with evening tea and enjoying the weather too.
To begin making the Green Pea Fritters or pakode, we will coarsely blend few of the pakora ingredients in a chopper or a mixer-grinder.
In a chopper add fresh coriander leaves, green chillies and garlic and chop. Now add green peas, in it and pulse it to a coarse mixture. Do not make a fine paste. we need chunks of peas to make the pakoras crunchy.
Transfer the mixture in a bowl. Add the salt, sliced onions, cumin powder and mix well.
Heat a kadai with enough oil to deep fry the Matar Pakoras.
Once the oil is hot, reduce the heat to MEDIUM HIGH. Gently add the pakoras mixture with the help of a spoon and fry until golden and crisp.
Once one batch of the Matar ke Pakode are done, remove from the pan and drain on an oil absorbent paper.Proceed the same way with the remaining pakora batter
Serve the Matar Ke Pakode as a evening tea time snack along with Tea or serve as an appetizer along with your favourite green chutney or- keraw imli chutney. Enjoy..!!!
