- Sago 1 1/2 cup
- Crushed Peanuts 1 tbsp
- green chilies 4-5 chopped
- Ghee or Oil 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves 3 -4 sprigs
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves a few sprigs
- Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
- Mustard seed 1tsp
A light dish made with sago or sabudana, spiced lightly. serve your family with healthy and delicious breakfast today. Also do not forget to squeeze up lemon before serving sabudana khichdi. as it enhances the flavor.
Wash sabudana two to three times and then soak in one-cup water for three to four hours. Sabudana grains should be separate and moist. Roast peanuts on a hot griddle, peel off the skin and then grind coarsely.
Wash green chilies, remove stem and then chop finely.
Heat ghee in a pan, add curry leaves, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and chopped green chilies.
Add sabudana and ground peanuts, saute for four to five minutes, stirring well.
Sprinkle a little water, add salt and lime juice. Mix well. Remove from heat. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.
