    Schezwan Frankie is a popular street food. This is tastes just yummy though it is a little spicy.This vegetable frankie has a pan fried potato and mixed vegetable cylinders, sliced onions and chaat masala filled in wheat flour rotis, rolled into a frankie – perfect food on the go! You can make filling of your choice for Frankie. This is a way to make children have the veggies those they don’t like.

    In bowl 1 cup of whole wheat flour with oil, salt and water to a smooth dough. cover and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes.

    After 20 minutes take the dough and mix it once more.

    Take a small portion of dough and make it nice and even.

    Spread some dry wheat flour on rolling board and put the dough ball on it and make roti.

    Place a tava/griddle inverted on the stove top. its easier to lift thin roti on an inverted tava. you can also cook the rotis the way you cook them regularly on tava .gently place the rolled thin chapati on the hot tava. when you see small blisters and bubbles appearing, flip and cook the other side. you can flip on couples of times, till the rotie is cooked well.

    Apply some oil if you want. make rotis this way and stack them up in a roti basket. cover and keep aside.

    For stuffing:

    Heat up oil in a pan. Add crushed garlic, ginger, green chili and fry for about 30 seconds.

    Then add 1 tsp Frankie masala, 1 tbsp schazwan chutney and mix well.

    Add mashed potato, shredded carrot, salt and mix well.

    Turn off the flame and add coriander leaves and lemon juice (optional).Mix well and transfer the mixture into another dish.

    Let the mixture cool down a little. Take a handful mixture and make long patty. The patty should be big enough to fit in the chapati roll. Flatten the patty a little so that you can easily shallow fry it.
    Heat up a little oil or butter in a pan. Place the patties in the pan. Fry the patties until these turn deep golden from both sides.Flip the patties over after frying them from one side for about 3-4 minutes.
    Fry for another 3-4 minutes from other side as well. Take the patties into a dish.

    Assembling the Frankie:

    Spread some schezwan chutney all over the roti.

    Spread 1 tsp tomato ketch over the roti.

    Put the potato patty at the center of the paratha.

    Add onion, shredded cabbage, Frankie masala, coriander leaves and roll the roti and schezwan Frankie is ready.
