Ingredients
- 500 gm minced mutton
- 2 Egg
- chana dal (Bengal gram) 100 gm soaked 2-3 hours or overnight
- 10 pods( lahsun) Garlic
- 1 long piece ginger
- 5-6 Green chilly
- 2 Cardamon
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 long piece Cinnamon
- 7-8 Black pepper powder
- 5-6 Whole Red chili
- 1 tsp Fennel seeds
- 1 tsp Whole Coriander (dhaniya)
- 2 tbsp Bread crumb
- to taste Salt
- 2 tbsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
- 1 tbsp Mint leave chopped
- Oil for shallow frying
Directions
Shami kabab recipe is a famous kabab dish which is made with mutton.The shami kabab are in the form of mutton patties which are shallow fried in oil and they are usually eaten with rice or can be eaten as a side dish along with dal.The texture is very smooth and they can be made into any shape be it round or oval or the shape you prefer. They are a widely popular Appetizer/Starter.

1 Done | Method: |
2 Done | Cook till the meat and Bengal gram are tender and the water has dried. |
3 Done | Remove from heat and let it cool. |
4 Done | Grind meat mixture in a food processor. |
5 Done | Now add mint leaves,green coriander leaves,salt to taste ,egg and bread crumb knead well. |
6 Done | Break off 1 tbsp off the mixture,wet your palm and place it in the center. |
7 Done | Shape it into a smooth flat round shape. |
8 Done | Heat a pan and add oil . |
9 Done | Add 3-4 kababs at a time and a fry on law heat to a crisp golden color. |
