- 500 gm Boneless chicken
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of Tandoori color
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1 tsp Chicken tikka masala
- 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp Coriander ( dhaniya ) powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin ( jeera) powder
- 1 Capsicum
- 1 Onion
- 1 Tomatoes
Chicken shashlik is a very popular chicken recipe. Chicken pieces are weaved on skewers and then either they are fried or grilled on on hot charcoal. Here is a very simple chicken shashlik recipe.
Take a bowl add chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt,pinch of tandoori color,garam masala powder,chicken tikka masala,red chili powder,lemon juice,coriander powder , cumin powder and mix very well with this marinade for 2-3 hours or overnight.
Put the chunks,Capsicum,tomato and onion piece alternately in the skewers and place it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Heat non-stick pan add 1 tsp oil and place the skewers ,cook on both sides till done.
You can grill them in oven for 15- 20 minutes at 200 degree Celsius.
Or even pan fry them using 1 tbsp oil till they are done and later infuse the coal smoke.
Serve with mint chutney/lemon wedges,onion rings.
